3 . Principle of Vibratory Bowl Feeder :
The concept of a vibratory feeder can be demonstrated through the pouring of sand into a funnel and gently tapping it to maintain a continuous flow. Regardless of size, vibratory feeders operate on this fundamental principle.
These feeders utilize gravity to pull dry materials downward and employ vibrations to move the material from side to side. Typically, only dry materials are used in these machines since they may not flow smoothly on their own and require assistance from vibrations.
In a vibratory feeder, a considerable amount of material is introduced through a cone-shaped opening at the top and flows out from the narrower bottom. A pill counter serves as a prime example of a vibratory feeder. In this case, a large quantity of pills is poured into the top opening of the machine. Gravity guides the pills downward, while vibrations ensure a seamless flow, preventing any obstructions or blockages within the feeder.
